Kiteboatspeed, a human and technological challenge

In 2006, we started to imagine a high performance kite boat. We were fascinated by the idea of being able to sail as a crew on a boat drawn by a wing at high speed. We quickly realized the limits of a traditional boat and the use of foils was becoming obvious to us.

We took the “longshot” as a starting point, a trimaran on foils of the Nineties equipped with two rigs. We used existing parts and we designed and manufactured others, creating like this the “Kite boat speed”

The “Kite boat speed” is an exceptional support which allows to fly over the water at an amazing speed. This feeling is really unbelievable!

However, this trimaran requires a ceaseless attention and a co-ordination without fail. We have known each other for almost twenty years, sharing a lot of things and practising much sport together (windsurf, kite surf, towed surf, etc…), which enables us to anticipate each other’s reactions.

The objective of Kite boat speed is to win the absolute speed record and we are looking for financial partners to reach it.

The adventure is just beginning…
