Spanish Pyrenees: a dizzying ascent to overcome the pain.

The ascent of the Pic de Posets (Spanish Pyrenees), a challenge for seasoned sportsmen, a feat for Cédric Andrieu and Eddy Estripeau, suffering from three severe chronic diseases. The first contracted two cancers in two years, the second lives with hemorrhagic colitis, combined with COPD, an inflammatory lung disease that forces him to perform several sessions of respiratory physiotherapy per day, and ankylosing spondylitis, a disabling joint pathology. Together, they take on crazy challenges to deliver a message of hope: "Anything is possible! they proclaim in chorus, urging them to "fight  against pain"

Linking the Grey-Nez and Blanc-Nez capes, 30 km in water at 16 degrees, is the new challenge that Philippe Croizon, the four-amputee athlete, has set himself to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his crossing of the English Channel. From August 24 to 31, he will be accompanied by 5 para-swimmers from his academy.

August1,  2020. Blanc. 4810 meters above sea level. Oxygen is scarce but Andrea Lanfri and Massimo Coda have never felt so alive. Amputees, these two Italian climbers have just completed the third part of their crazy challenge: climbing five of the highest peaks of Italy, with one leg for two men. By mid-July, they had already reached the Great Paradise (4061 m) and the Marmolada (3343 m).

Independence day for Philippe Croizon.

Philippe Croizon set himself a new challenge on the occasion of this 14th of July, the day of the national holiday in France. The Poitevin adventurer, amputee of the four limbs, experienced a new adrenaline rush in the company of his brother, Jean-Luc, firefighter at SDIS86 (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service).

 Amputé des 2 bras, ce policier à la retraite nagera de Calvi à Mandelieu, soit 180 kilomètres entre le 15 et 30 juin prochain.

First quadriplegic to land his wheels in Antarctica. This dabbling continues his world tour initiated in 2017 in the southern regions.

Samuel Marie has fulfilled his dream, to reach the far the edge of the planet. The 32-year-old From Grenoblois, pilot of the "Sam Fait Rouler" project, pushed the limits of the possible to become the first quadriplegic adventurer to travel to Antarctica, following in the footsteps of Jean-Louis Etienne who prefaced his book “Avance, bordel”!
